Connecting courses to automatically mark equivalent sections as completed

I would like to suggest adding a feature that connects a module’s completion rate and results to other course/learning paths.

Let’s say there are two courses: course A and course B. Within course B, there is a section that includes the content from course A. For a case like this, if a learner completes a module in course A that is equivalent to the module in course B (and vice versa), it would be ideal if the equivalent sections get marked as completed automatically so the user doesn’t have to take the equivalent courses multiple times.

The expected effect is that the learners will not have to repeatedly taking the same course content. Admins do not need to analyze reports of the multiple cources to determine whether a learner has completed a module or not. In addition, admins do not need to manually mark a user’s course outcome as “Completed” if they have already completed the equivalent course in another learning route within Litmos.

Specifically for my organization, we have nearly 70,000 users who must complete the annual compliance training. However, for new joiners joining mid-year, they must complete the onboarding course which also includes compliance training. As a result, the system admins are manually verifying the modules and marking the completion rate in both courses. If courses could be connected and completion rates could be updated automatically on both courses, it would improve the responsible personnels’ work efficiency.
