I have courses I have to recreate each year. It would be nice to be able to duplicate an existing course and just have to rename the course each year. The duplication would keep all formatting and modules.

I agree this is most helpful as we are currently going through a document control amalgamation project and all controlled docs are being reformatted and new revision numbers assigned. Would be great to just create a copy for the new version and assign the new but instead I have to either change the original and lose the old version or start from scratch with a new version, this is very time consuming especially when it has a lot of images to add.
This would be extremely helpful! I am using a workaround where I make changes but don't publish. Instead I export the changed course as a scorm file and then reupload that version to make the revised course. Then I revert the original course to an earlier version. This is very time consuming and I am always worried I am going to not restore the correct version!
I have the same issue where I still need to keep the existing module as say V1 and have a slightly updated module to be V2. I find it strange that you cannot simply duplicate a Content Authored course to another one to then slightly update to a newer version using Content Author again. Don't want to have to recreate the module again to then put my slight updates in.
